06/22 - Kuhl Hose was dispatched just before 5 Saturday night for a House fire.  Dispatch reported they were unsure if everyone was out.  683 Engine responded and on arrival reported heavy smoke and a working fire.  683 assumed command and reported there was possible entrapment and that there were multiple patients down in the front yard and requested multiple EMS units.  690 arrived soon after and assumed command.  The crew from 683 stretched a 1 3/4" hand line and quickly contained the fire to the kitchen area.  Crews from mutual aid assisted with ventilation, overhaul and patient care.  Units were returned and put in service shortly after 690 put the fire under control.  EMS units from Kuhl Hose, Emergycare, MPS, and Perry Hiway transported 5 victims with smoke inhalation injuries to UPMC Hamot.  The fire is under investigation.
