8/29/2012 - Kuhl Hose hosted a hands on rescue drill Wednesday night at a Greene Township asphalt plant.  Belle Valley and Waterford also attended.  Drill began with a plant tour, safety concerns and rescue considerations.  Two rescue crews were assembled with a mix of members from each department.  The crews went to work on two separate scenarios. One was a patient who had a medical emergency then a Trauma from a fall on the top of an asphalt plant.  The second was patient who became entrapped in aggregate at the top of a storage bin.  Teamwork, utilization of resources in addition to proper techniques required to effect a safe rescue were reviewed.  Crews then were able to make their own rescue plans, implement them and adjust as needed.  A critique was held at the end of the night with several suggestions and ideas shared.
