09/11/11 - Firefighters Zack Criscione and Matt Fuller attended a 9/11 stair climb at the University of Pittsburgh.  The event sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation was held at the University of Pittsburgh Cathedral Sunday, along with 39 other climbs across the country. The stair climb took place at 9 a.m., which is right after the time the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.  All those that participated climbed the 22 flights of stairs and returned to the ground floor to just climb again.  The participants climbed 5 times for the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.  Participants from Kuhl Hose, Stancliff and Wesleyville Hose in Erie county were joined by firefighters from all over Western Pennsylvania in remembering those brother and sister firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice 10 years ago.  As well it was to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice due to medical complications since the attack that were involved in the months of rescue / recovery events.  Also to not forget the civilians that were killed and their families that were affected that day.
