An early-morning
accident on Lake Pleasant Road sent two patients to
Hamot Shock Trauma after their vehicle rolled
end-over-end several times early Friday morning. Both
patients were found in the roadway outside the vehicle,
by medic 193. Both patients had moderate to severe
injuries.
Medic 193 called for
additional ALS units and Life Star helicopter to the
scene. A request for mutual aid for traffic control was
also placed.
Life Star was unable to make it to the scene due to
heavy fog, requiring both patients to be transported by
ground.
One patient was transported by the Kuhl Hose Fire Dept.
and the other by the Wattsburg Hose Co. The accident is
under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
